Yes. All fighters will train in the same gym together so that the coaches can evaluate talent / fitness levels in order to pair fighters accordingly.

We will be sending out an announcement for Open Call to all via social media / email.  We will add you to the list so you will receive an email.  We don’t have an exact date for that, but it will most likely be closer to the end of the year. We usually begin training in January.

(3) one-minute rounds w/ one-minute breaks between rounds.

Gloves are 16 oz. You will need headgear that’s certified by USA boxing (it will have a white tag sewn onto it).

The gym is the historic “Main Street Boxing Gym” located at 1612 Austin St, Houston, TX 77002

Yes!  You or your company must be a member of ACRP prior to the beginning of training in January.

The fight is a sanctioned bout through USA Boxing. All fighters will be registered as amateur boxers and the results will be officially recorded.

There will be up to 7 fights the night of the event so that means a total of 14 fighters will be selected.

We usually get around 30 – 40 show up for orientation. Over the course of the first month of training, a bunch of guys drop out on their own and others get cut by the coaches because they aren’t showing up or they just aren’t progressing with the group.

The training days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30-5:30pm. We encourage everyone to workout with the group, but we understand people have conflicts at times. If you can’t make it to the group training, there are about 4-6 other classes you can attend to make up the time Monday through Saturday (see list of those classes below). You will be required to sign in at the front desk to get credit for the day. If you miss more than three days, you will be at risk of being cut by the coaches.
